Giant Elephant Peak
The altitude is 1,446 m. The whole mountain looks like
the head of the elephant from far away, about 90 m high. Two rocks left on the
summit are the ears of the elephant; the long strip smooth rock mass below is the nose of the elephant,
120 m long, with realistic image, remarkably true to life. It is the campanulate granite landformformed by the giant porphyritic
biotite granite of the Yanshannianperiod. When the rock mass rises and bassets, the running water down-cuts the mass along its
developed vertical joints,so the landscape is formed.
