This year, Keketuohai UNESCO Global Geopark will have a revalidation once every four years. UNESCO experts will visit Keketuohai Global Geopark for revalidation , and from 6 to 8 July, the geopark invited an expert group consisting of Huang Wen, Li Yue and other experts, including the evaluators of UNESCO Global Geopark, to arrive in Fuyun to provide on-site guidance for the preparation of the re-evaluation of Keketuohai Global Geopark.
During the period, the expert group held a debriefing meeting, watched a promotional film and other forms of detailed understanding of the preparations for the inspection, and put forward proposals to streamline the content of the report and highlight the focus of the assessment. The expert group carefully and meticulously viewed the scenic area of the hardware and software facilities, and further found problems in the details and timely rectification to achieve perfection.
At the pre-assessment feedback meeting for the reassessment of Keketuohai UNESCO Global Geopark , the experts fully affirmed the preparatory work for welcoming the revalidation of Keketuohai UNESCO Global Geopark, and were impressed by the magnificent and colourful natural landscape and rich and colourful national culture of Keketuohai UNESCO Global Geopark, and considered that the proposed revalidation route demonstrated the important geosite, rich biodiversity and humanistic landscape, reflecting the concept and vision of UNESCO Global Geopark, and according to the revalidation requirements and the actual situation, comprehensively and pragmatically pointed out the problems and deficiencies, and put forward targeted and guiding opinions and suggestions.
The next step is that the management committee of Xinjiang Fanyun Keketuohai National Geopark will keep an eye on the feedback problems, work tasks and timeframe for completion, accelerate the completion of the replacement of signage, optimisation of revalidation routes and training of interpreters, and effectively make improvements and enhancements, increase publicity to enhance and expand the rate of knowledge and influence, ensure that the revalidation standards and requirements are met, and meet the revalidation with excellent results.
