Autonomous region-level (provincial-level) intangible cultural heritage
Kazakh felt embroidery and cloth embroidery are folk arts originating from life, passed down from generation to generation between mothers and daughters, and widely used in all aspects of clothing, food, housing and travel. Kazakh women shear wool, wash it and roll it into felt, dye it with coloured threads, embroider colourful flowers and wall hangings, and embroider clothing, boots, hats, saddles and other handicrafts, which are used to decorate and beautify their lives.
