The altitude is 1,183m.The dam of the power station is 153m high and the top width is 4m, with the pier distance of 6m and the anti-earthquake strength of 12-magnitude. Five spillways are provided.The power stationlocates 136m underground with hydraulic head over 80m. There are four sets of units in total. The total installed capacity is 19 thousand KW, with an annual energy output of85 million KW. It is a typical power station with the minor supply but the high water head and also the deepest underground power station in China.There are three floors of the whole underground power houses: the top floor is power floor, the second is pump floor and the third accommodates hydraulic turbine units.Haizikoupower station was designed by Soviets. The construction began in 1958 and it took 9 years to finish. The first unit formally started to generate electricity at 17 o'clock on Feb 5, 1967.At present, Haizikou power station only serves theKeketuohai Town.
